On Monday August 19th, The All New Georgia 104.5 and Mitchell EMC honored Ms. Jean Brooks as a Hometown Hero. We were happy to present Ms. Jean with a special certificate and gift basket. Ms. Jean was nominated by Karen in Sylvester, who described her as a true servant leader in the Sylvester and Worth County community.
GET TO KNOW MS. JEAN BROOKS
Ms. Jean Brooks is heavily involved in her church and community, where she volunteers and is chair of the DDA, serves on the Board of Directors of the Sylvester/Worth County Chamber of Commerce, is Secretary of the Kiwanis Club, sits on the board and services the Georgia Peanut Festival Committee (and has done so for more than 60 years!) Ms. Jean serves on numerous other boards and organizations and is active in both the choir and many committees at First Baptist Church of Sylvester.
Ms. Jean has a special place in her heart for children and is described by friends and associates as selfless and caring, and willing to take on any task.
Because of Ms. Jean’s tireless efforts and commitment to the community, we were thrilled to be able to partner with our friends at Mitchell EMC to honor her as a Hometown Hero!
We’ll honor another Hometown Hero soon. You can nominate someone here!
