Snoop Dogg has teamed with Death Row Records Cannabis for the launch of a new cannabis line, and its first artist collaboration honoring Tupac – one of the original artists of Death Row Records
Snoop Dogg acquired Death Row Records (DRR) in 2022, and launched Death Row Records Cannabis in January 2023. Snoop shared that he chose 2Pac for DRR Cannabis’ inaugural artist collaboration stemming from a shared history between the two legendary artists that goes beyond the label: “That first blunt sparked a friendship that ran deep. We’ll always have his music, but this is another way I can bring what was meaningful to 2Pac to his fans.”
The cannabis line will have five available strains: Alien OG, Take 1, Take 2, Take 3 and Take 4. Fans can vote for their favorite “Take” through a QR code, where the winning “Take” will cut the exclusive and permanent 2Pac collection, due out this fall. Customers will also receive one of four never-before-released collectible photos of 2Pac in front of a DRR graffiti-covered wall, and a DRR matchbook recreated precisely from the shoot.
The Tupac cannabis is available now in select California dispensaries, with another release set to take place through partner Pleasantrees in Michigan later this year.
