Former Outkast member André 3000 recently posted a short video to his Instagram to announce the upcoming dates for his New Blue Sun Live tour, and he has used his dentist’s office as the setting to convey the news.
The brief clip shared shows André (real name André Lauren Benjamin) seated in the dental chair with a clinician scanning his teeth with an Align iTero intraoral scanner. The camera briefly pans to the scanner monitor before panning back to André 3000 and announcing the dates and locations for the upcoming tour. The post included a message from André saying, “Summer teeth cleaning reminder.”
The video reveals that the artist will be embarking on the New Blue Sun Live tour over the summer along with Carlos Niño, Nate Mercereau, Surya Botofasina, and Deantoni Parks (all of whom were featured on his record) but noted that the lineup is “subject to change.”
The 26-date trek commenced with back-to-back-to-back shows at Pappy + Harriet’s in Joshua Tree, California, with additional shows in North America, Australia and Europe over the next few months before wrapping up with shows at the Henry Miller Memorial Library in Big Sur, California at the start of September.
