8th: 3rd Annual Black Employee Voices Juneteenth 5k Color Run/Walk @ Albany State University West Campus, 9:30am-2pm
2400 Gillionville Road: We are thrilled to invite you to join us for our 3rd Annual Juneteeth 5k color run/walk. This event is hosted by the Black Employee Voices ERG of Molson Coors beverage company. The event will start with a warm-up stretch and then the walk/run. Along the way you will be covered in colorful powder that is non-toxic and biodegradable. We will water stations to keep you hydrated along the way. After the run we will have games, vendors , raffles and food. Please join us in celebrating this important holiday and promoting health and wellness. This is a family event.

8th: 2nd Annual Poetic Therapy Juneteenth Celebration @ 932 W Broad Avenue, 12-5pm
Come join us for a day filled with celebration music food and fun at the Juneteenth Festival! This event commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in the United States. Enjoy live performances delicious food vendors arts and crafts and more. Bring your friends and family to this exciting event! This is a FREE outdoor event.

14th: County-City Juneteenth Community Celebration @ Albany Civic Center, 4-7pm

15th: 2024 Juneteenth Festival @ 2452 W Gordon Avenue, 3:30pm
Join us in commemorating Juneteenth, a day of freedom and liberation, as we come together in Albany, GA. This event honors the rich history and culture of African Americans and highlights the journey toward equality. Enjoy music, food, cultural performances, and educational activities for the whole family. Let’s unite in celebration and reflection as we recognize the significance of this historic day in our history.

19th: Freedom Day: “Breaking The Chains” Juneteenth Program @ American Legion Post 512
Program, Soul Food Lunch, Fellowship – Free For Everyone. 815 Willie Pitts Jr. Rd. Etris Smith Jr., Commander, Tonya Hagines Swinney, Juneteenth Freedom Day Chair and V101.7’s Ms. P will be in attendance.

19th: Juneteenth Afro-Fusion Dance Workshop @ Albany State University West Campus, 6pm
2400 Gillionville Road: This is a free event and all ages are welcome! Ages 30+ strongly encouraged to participate! Instructor Alysia Cutting will lead. Celebrate Juneteenth with this FREE Afro-Fusion Dance Workshop!

22nd: Juneteenth Fine Arts Celebration @ Albany Museum of Arts, 10am-1pm
In partnership with Dougherty County School System, Albany Museum of Arts will host this Juneteenth Fine Arts Celebration highlighting area Black businesses, food trucks, student performances showcasing DCSS talent, raffle tickets for a chance to win a beautiful Cedric Smith print of the painting “From Cotton to Roses,” book signings and sales by local Black authors, and DCSS student artwork celebrating Juneteenth and Black history. This event is free and open to everyone.
