Two years after her breakout single “Munch (Feelin’ U)” dropped, Ice Spice will be releasing her long-awaited debut album, titled Y2K. The Bronx-born rapper didn’t reveal the exact release date for the LP, but it’s slated for sometime later this year.
Ahead of the album release, Spice gave fans a taste of the project with the song “Gimmie A Light,” produced by her longtime collaborator RiotUSA and featuring samples of Sean Paul’s 2002 cut “Gimme the Light.” Ice debuted “Gimmie a Light” during her Coachella performance in April.
According to a press release, “Gimmie a Light” is the first official single from Y2K; Spice has also recently shared the songs “Think U the Sh*t (Fart)” and “Pretty Girl,” and was featured on Cash Cobain and Bay Swag’s new “Fisherrr (Remix).”
