The Roots will embark on a new run of tour dates dubbed the “Hip-Hop Is the Love of My Life Tour,” with support from Arrested Development and Digable Planets.
The mostly-weekend shows will kick-off on May 11 at the Mountain Winery Concert Series in Saratoga, CA as well the Wonderfront Festival in San Diego on May 12. From there, they’ll head through the South, Midwest, and East Coast, concluding with a gig in Boston on September 1st.
The tour will follow the 2024 iteration of ‘The Roots’ Picnic’ taking place at The Mann in Fairmount Park in Philadelphia on June 1-2, which will feature a lineup including Jill Scott, Lil Wayne, Gunna, Victoria Monét, Method Man, Nas, Redman and Sexyy Red and more. At the end of June, The Roots will host ‘The Roots Picnic: Hip-Hop Is The Love of My Life’ festival in Los Angeles, with Arrested Development and Digable Planets performing.
After the LA festival, The Roots will play a few more dates (including three in Europe), and then reunite with Arrested Development and Digable Planets for the “Hip-Hop Is the Love of My Life” dates
