HotNewHipHop reports that NBA YoungBoy was arrested on Tuesday on numerous charges, after violating the terms of his house arrest in Utah.

A report from New Orleans’ FOX 8 states that the YoungBoy, 24, was taken into custody on Tuesday evening by the Cache County Sheriff’s Office in Utah, with jail records confirming that the rapper – real name Kentrell Gaulden – was booked at the Cache County jail and charged with six offenses including identity fraud, forgery, possession of controlled substances, possession of a dangerous weapon by a restricted person, procuring or attempting to procure drug/prescription and pattern of unlawful activity.

YoungBoy Never Broke Again has been has been on house arrest at his Utah home since he was released from jail in October 2021, stemming from his indictment on federal gun charges after he was caught with two weapons while filming a music video in his hometown of Baton Rouge, La. YoungBoy is currently awaiting trial for the original charges after the proceedings were paused earlier this year pending the U.S. Supreme Court’s upcoming ruling on Second Amendment rights.

Per a tweet from DJ Akademiks, bail has not been set for NBA YoungBoy as of press time, and added that ‘these new charges threatens his federally approved house arrest which prosecutors were already trying to revoke after they claimed he was doing drugs and they asked him to stop and he told them no.’
