J. Cole just released his surprise new album titled “Might Delete Later”, the follow-up to his 2021 album titled “The Off-Season.”
The new album features guest appearances from Ari Lennox, Young Dro & Gucci Mane on “Pricey”, Cam’ron on “Ready ’24”, Bas & Central Cee on “H.Y.B.”, Daylyt & Ab-Soul on “Pi”, and Bas on “Sleath Mode”, and is comprised of 12-songs, including “7 Minute Drill” a 7-minute diss track aimed at Kendrick Lamar.
Now comes news that Cole has pulled ‘7 Minute Drill’ from streaming services. Per Billboard, “7 Minute Drill” was removed from streaming services as of Friday, April 12; it comes on the heels of Cole’s apology to Kendrick Lamar while on stage at his Dreamville Fest. Cole said the crowd at the time: “I’m so proud of [Might Delete Later], except for one part. It’s one part of that s—t that makes me feel like, man, that’s the lamest s—t I did in my f—king life, right? The past two days have felt terrible. It let me know how good I’ve been sleeping for the past 10 years.” Cole apologized for his “misstep,” asking for forgiveness to “get back to [his] true path ..I want to say right now tonight, how many people think Kendrick Lamar is one of the greatest motherf–kers to ever touch a f–king microphone?” The question was met with cheers from the audience.
