Megan Moroney is wearing “Tennessee Orange” in the new music video for her breakout hit of the same name. Moroney released the official music video for her major label debut single, sharing on social media: “the official tennessee orange music video is out now on YouTube directed by @jasonllester”
The video, directed by Jason Lester, is shot from the perspective of Moroney’s love interest. Said Moroney: “I had so much fun making this video with Jason Lester! I think we could have taken this video in a few different directions, and I was so excited to film it from ‘his’ point of view. This song is about more than a football team and I think we captured the love story perfectly.” The video concludes with the mystery man and the 25-year-old singer/songwriter recreating the buzzed-about Instagram photos which Moroney shared in August of 2022. Moroney is seen wearing the Tennessee Volunteers t-shirt, that once belonged to Morgan Wallen. While she confirmed that the shirt was in fact Wallen’s, fans speculated that the song was written with Wallen in mind. However, the Moroney has yet to confirm or deny if the song was written about him.
“Tennessee Orange” is expected to appear on Moroney’s major label debut, which is slated to arrive later this year. Moroney will also soon embark on her first-ever headlining tour, dubbed the Pistol Made Of Roses Tour. The trek kicks off on April 13 in Chattanooga, Tennessee at The Barrelhouse Ballroom and runs through April 28, where the tour wraps up at Brewsky’s in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
